SDG 4 - Quality Education. By promoting cyber security awareness, this project also equips students with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate the digital world safely and responsibly, contributing to quality education.

Class: (Ages 13 - 15) Grade 9 (100), Grade 10 (100)

Teacher Responsible: Mr Oyebamiji Temitope. Other members of staff involved: Mr Philips, Mr Charles, Mr Kayode.

Activity Description:
1. An awareness on cyber security was made on the assembly ground, on the need for students to be security conscious as netizens.
2. Students watched a video clip on how technology is being used in various sectors globally.
3. Students carried out research to know how other countries like the United States and United Kingdom approach cyber security and made PowerPoint presentations on the positive and negative impact of technology in the various sectors of human endeavour.
4. Selected students presented their findings to other students and afterwards to an online audience of parents and teachers during a virtual Parent Teacher Association (PTA) meeting.

Aims:
Outcomes
Students were be able to:
  1. identify and explain the concepts of cyber security and imbibed skills necessary to stay safe on the internet.
  2. identify the various positive and negative impact of technology with a view of becoming responsible users of the internet.
  3. develop critical thinking skills regarding technology's impact
  4. Educate their parents on the concepts of cyber security during a virtual PTA meeting.
Evaluation Evidence:
Assembly write ups, photographs, students report, parents feedback forms, Newsletter, PowerPoint Presentation, video clips.

Impact:
This activity equipped students with essential cybersecurity skills and fostered open communication between students and parents about responsible technology use, creating a safer digital environment for the entire school community.
